Margaret Ann Downs, 68, of Owensboro, Kentucky, passed away Friday, July 7, 2023, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
Margaret was born on March 24, 1955, the beloved daughter of the late Griffin and Willie Margaret Lovell Lane. Margaret was a homemaker and enjoyed working with her husband on the farm. She loved her children and taking care of them. She was of the Methodist faith and attended Russell Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Ervin Downs; brothers, Charles Lane and David Lane.
She is survived by her daughters, Shelly Downs (David Baxter) and Heather Downs; grandson, Jayden Ervin Downs all of Owensboro, KY; brother, Ronnie Lane (Lois) of Murray, KY; sisters, Judy Parker (Robert) of Metropolis, IL and Bonita Harrington (Charles) of Mayfield, KY; many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Hicks Cemetery, Dover, TN with Bro. Ronnie Burkeen officiating. Those serving as pallbearers, David Baxter, Michael O’Broyan, Charles McKinney, Tommy Lane, Hunter Burton and Cory West.
