Jeri Suzanne “Susie” Smith, 59, of Paris, Tennessee, died Sunday, July 9, 2023, at the Anna Mae Owen Hospice House in Murray, KY.
She retired from Gastro One after many years as a receptionist. Susie enjoyed singing, crocheting, coloring, attending church, and being with family and friends. She was a member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church in Paris.
Susie was born December 24, 1963, in Hayti, MO, to the late Charles Everitt and Betty Sartain Smith, who survives, of Paris, TN.
She was married December 20, 1999, to Gregory W. Smith, who preceded her in death on July 11, 2011.
Along with her mother, she is also survived by one daughter Jennifer (Zachary) Weers of Lawrenceville, GA; one sister, Denise (Jon) Richard of Braselton, GA; one brother, CSM Neil (Paula) Sartain of Ft. Sill, OK; two grandchildren, Madelyn Weers and McKinley Weers; three aunts, Lorean Davidson of Jonesboro, AR, Mary Lunceford and Eva Rico both of Gallatin, TN; a special family friend, Mama Francis Carter of Paris; and several cousins.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Thursday, July 13, 2023, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Friday, July 14, 2023, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. The funeral service will be Friday, July 14, 2023, at 12:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Johnny farmer officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
