Mr. Harold Gene Deep, 90, of Jasper, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Parkridge West Hospital, Jasper, TN.
He was born May 25, 1933, in Middletown, Ohio, son of the late Ira W. Deep and Fannie Page Deep. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Virgie Woolum, Martha Herndon, and Myrtle Ratliff.
After his graduation from Stewart County High School, Harold earned a bachelor’s degree from Austin Peay State University and later a master’s degree from University of Oklahoma. He worked for the State of Tennessee Health Department as a supervisor. Harold proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Jasper, TN.
He is survived by his siblings, Ira W. Deep (Marie), Peggy Billington, and Joshua ‘Whitey’ Deep (Diane), as well as a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mr. Deep will be held Thursday, July 13, 2023, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday with Rev. Jeff Wallace officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Dover, TN. His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
