Paris, Tenn.–The Back to School Bash 2023 will be held at 8-11 a.m. Saturday, July 22 at the Henry Co. Fairgrounds and notice the new start time of 8 a.m.
Organizer SRO Sgt. Michelle Brewer said there is a need for a few more volunteers and more crayons and notepaper.
The Shed and Family Resource Center are teaming up to provide free school supplies and backpacks to children. The event will be a drive-thru like it has been in recent years.
Brewer said, “We can always use volunteers and I have a few spots still open. All of our school supplies from The Shed are 100% donated. We don’t get grants or any other funds to help. And that’s part if the reason we partnered up with the Family Resource Center. It takes the whole community and lots of folks to make it all come together and happen.”
Anyone wanting to volunteer or who wants to donate crayons and notepaper should message Michelle on The Shed’s Facebook page. The Shed is a collection point where people donate a wide range of items, from clothing to hygiene items and they are given out to families in need, no questions asked and with no red tape.
Remember, new start time–8 a.m.
