Murray, Ky.–A Murray man is in jail, charged with three counts of attempted murder after an incident early Sunday morning.
On July 9th, at 12:47am, the Murray Police Department responded to the 400 Block of South 9th Street in regards to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a female victim who had gunshot injuries to her legs. The victim was transported to the Murray Calloway County Hospital for treatment.
Investigators identified a suspect, who was later stopped in Riviera Courts and taken into custody by Calloway County Sheriffs Deputies and MPD officers.
Michael Wayson, 35, of Murray was arrested and charged with the following:
-3 counts of Attempted Murder
-2 counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree
-1 count of Possession of a Handgun by Convicted Felon
-1 count of Tampering with Physical Evidence
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
