Puryear, Tenn.–The kids at the Puryear Vacation Bible School wanted to perform a service project this year and boy, did they. They collected 302 pounds of dog food, 50 rolls of paper towels and 32 bottles of bleach for the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Animal Shelter.

The donated items were presented to Deputy Jason McCord of the Animal Shelter Saturday by the children who attended Vacation Bible School and members of Puryear Baptist Church. Deputy Kyle Waldron and his K9 Lisa and Reserve Deputy Tim Vaughn were there, too, as Lisa demonstrated her skills for the children.

Michael and Brittney Roberts from Llama Llama Adventures Petting Zoo were also on hand.
