Dover, Tenn.–On Thursday, June 22nd, Stewart County Jail’s female inmates on the Litter Crew picked up trash at Cross Creeks Refuge as well as at Gray’s Crossing which was overrun with trash. A large amount of trash was taken from both areas. Sheriff Frankie Gray said, “The inmates work often goes unnoticed because they are often picking up trash in areas off the main roads. The Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to giving inmates the opportunity to give back to our community as well as working to keep our county clean. Good work Ladies and Lt. Ricky Robertson from the Detention Center. The Sheriff’s Office also encourages everyone to help keep our county clean and report littering and illegal dumping violations.”
