Mr. Frank Chester Gray, Sr., 93, of Rockville, Maryland, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023, with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Stewart County, Tennessee, Tuesday, December 31, 1929. He is the beloved son of the late George and Annie Hilmus Gray. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years: Ruth Jean Gray; brothers: Thorton Gray, Lathan Gray, Russell Gray, Elden Gray and Wilford Gray; and sisters: Bernice Gray and Violet Gray Crowe.
He was a hard worker and provider for his family, working for the Civil Service until retirement.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and loyal friend to many.
He is survived by his son; Frank C. Gray, Jr. and wife Catherine and his grandson, Andrew Gray.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Anglin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Shannon officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. Saturday and continue until the hour of the funeral service. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
