By Shannon McFarlin News Director

Paris, Tenn.–On the cover of the June “The Cooperator” magazine, you’ll find people you know: Will and Elizabeth Moss of Tri-Springs Dairy in Cottage Grove.

June is Dairy Month and the Tennessee Farmers Cooperative decided to feature Tri-Springs, a fifth generation Jesey dairy operation in its monthly magazine. The headline: “Little Brown Cows; Tri-Springs Dairy in Cottage Grove works to improve its fifth generation Jersey dairy operation.”

The Moss family opened the operation in the 1940s and have been working hard to improve and expand it in the decades since.

The Moss childen–Will, Elizabeth and Laura Moss–have followed in their parents’ footsteps.

According to the article, Paul, Sarah and Will operate the daiy while Laura and Elizabeth are active in agriculture in Henry County: Laura is a long-time FFA Advisor for Henry County Schools and Elizabeth works at the Henry County Farm Service Office.

And the family members are strong advocates for the dairy industry.

The article stresses the importance of the Henry Farmers Coop store in Cottage Grove for helping the Moss family maintain and expand their operation over the years.

Tri-Springs’ milk is processed and bottled under the brand name Prairie Farms Dairy.
