Thousands Of Florida Bass Stocked In Local Waterways

Benton County, Tenn.– American Sport Fish from Alabama was busy Tuesday, stocking thousands of Florida bass into local waterways. In addition to the 300,000 Florida bass that were released at Paris Landing, another 300,000 was released in Benton County.

Benton County Chamber of Commerce Director Lorie Matlock was on hand at the Danville Access Boat Ramp with Tennessee River Resort District President Mike Stockdale and American Sport Fish Hatchery representative Sawyer Chiles. Thousands more were also released in the Big Sandy area.

Earlier in the morning, American Sport Fish released 300,000 Florida bass at Paris Landing as part of the fish stocking program funded by the Henry County Tourism Authority.
