Paris, Tenn.–Meeting in special session Wednesday, the Henry County 911 Board formally approved the pending move of the city of Paris dispatch from City Hall to the 911 Center on Brewer Street.
Board members approved a Memorandum of Understanding and Interlocal Agreement between the city and the Emegency Communications District. The
The new dispatch center at the 911 Building is complete and Paris Police Chief Ricky Watson said move will occur ‘as soon as possible’ and estimated it would be complete around June 1. The move is one more step toward a Central Dispatch in Henry County.
County and 911 Board Attorney Rob Whitfield said everything is in order in the paperwork, which he and City Attorney James Smith have been working on since the board’s last meeting.
In other business:
–The board approved the Rapid SOS program. 911 Director Mark Archer said in reviewing the program, there appeared nothing but positives. Watson said, “This is going to be a premiere dispatch center here and this is another part to that.”
–The board approved the ‘Prepared” Software program for the dispatch.
