Huntingdon, Tenn.–A Gold Star Marker has been installed in Carroll County, a tribute to the Gold Star families whose loved ones paid the ultimate price defending the U.S.
On May 6, 2022, Charles and Annette Tinnin funded the installation of a Gold Star Marker in Carroll County.
On Friday, May 5, 2023, Carroll County Mayor Joseph Butler, Huntingdon Mayor Nina Smothers and Carroll County Chamber President Brad Hurley placed a gold ribbon on the marker to commemorate the placement of the Gold Star Marker in 2022.
The marker is located on East Main Street in Thomas Park in Huntingdon.
