
Jesus Vega-Cendejas, 63, of Henry, Tennessee, peacefully passed surrounded by family Monday, May 1, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
Jesus was born Sunday, January 24, 1960, in Chavinda Michoacan, Mexico, to the late Jesus Vega-Cervantes and Graciela Cendejas Gutierrez, who survives, of California. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his grandmother: Esperanza Gutierrez; and two brothers-in-law: Jesus Alvarado and Alfonso Aguilar.
He formerly worked at Replogle Enterprises for over 20 years and then for Tosh Farms for over three years.
Jesus enjoyed woodworking, working outdoors, yard work, and gardening.
He also loved to cook.
He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Paris.
He was married Saturday, August 19, 1978, to Maria Concepcion Vega, who survives, of Henry, Tennessee.
Along with his wife and mother, he is also survived by four children: Miguel Angel (Leticia) Vega, of Henry, Tennessee, Marco (Samanthia) Vega, of Paris, Cecilia (Jorge) Cholico, of Henry, Tennessee, and Maria (Jorge) Tavarez, of Henry, Tennessee; eight sisters; six brothers; and eight grandchildren: Karol Vega, Jacqueline Vega, Angel Vega, Katelyn Vega, Bryant Bell, Camila Cholico, George Cholico, and Emma Tavarez.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, Tennessee, 38242.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m. The funeral mass will be Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1210 E. Wood Street, Paris, Tennesseem 38242, with Rev. Jonathan Perez and Rev. Martin Orjianioke officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Miguel Vega, Marco Vega, Jorge Cholico, and Jorge Tavarez. Named as honorary pallbearers are Angel Vega and George Cholico.
Burial will be in Henry City Cemetery in Henry, Tennessee.
