James Robert “Bo” Hobbs

hobbs-2

James Robert “Bo” Hobbs, 71, of Springville, Tennessee, died Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the Henry County Medical Center.

Bo was born Tuesday, February 12, 1952, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, to the late James Douglas Hobbs and the late Nora Estelle Mallard Hobbs.

He was a self-made, successful businessman who sold industrial equipment with his son, and farmed for many years in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

He later moved to Paris, Tennessee, where they continued selling equipment and then manufactured truck dump systems, landfill tippers and container tilters, which they sold all over the world.

He cherished his son and grandchildren, and enjoyed his cattle and his border collie, Letty.

Bo was quick to tell a joke for adult ears only. There’s no doubt that Bo will make heaven shine a little brighter. Rest in peace Bo, we love you.

He is survived by his wife: Patricia Moore “Patti” Hobbs, of Springville, Tennessee; one son: James Curtis “J.C.” (Christie) Hobbs, of Paris, Tennessee; one daughter: Kathy (Jason) Lineberry, of Mississippi; one sister: Teresa Wendle, of Dyersburg, Tennessee; five grandchildren: Max Logan (Carly) Hobbs, Grace Ann Hobbs, Loucas Berry (Hannah) Hobbs, Sayra Kay Lineberry, and Dwight Lineberry; and one great-grandson: Luke-Henry James Hobbs.
