After the success of last year’s school art exhibition, Huntingdon High School will once again have a new art exhibit at The Dixie Carter Performing Arts & Academic Enrichment Center from May 4 through Aug. 1, 2023. This juried art exhibit will be judged and awards given at the opening reception honoring all the participants on Thursday, May 4 from 6:00pm-8:00pm in the Ballroom Gallery. Light refreshments will be served, and this event is free and open to the public.
The participants are mostly HHS students in Mrs. Dana Wyatt’s Art I, II, and III classes. There is a wide variety of subject matter from still life and landscapes to self-portraits and abstraction. The students use media such as graphite, acrylic paint, watercolor, color pencils, ink and mixed media collage. For more information about this or other art exhibits at The Dixie, visit DixiePAC.net.
