Union City, Tenn.–On a recent morning, Union City Police checked 225 vehicles in an hour at a seatbelt checkpoint set up at the corner of South Home and East Jackson. Results of the checkpoint were: 225 vehicles checked, 225 drivers, 40 passengers. Drivers receiving citations for no seat belts 10; passengers receiving citations for no seat belts 4.
