Sally Earline Cope, 78, of Mansfield, Tennessee, died Sunday, April 16, 2023, at her residence in Mansfield.
Sally was born Friday, October 13, 1944, in Takoma Park, Maryland, to the late Earl Hugh Welton and the late Edna Viola Jones Welton.
Sally was a homemaker, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, and caring for her daughter.
She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
She was married Monday, December 19, 1960, to Coby Charles Cope, who preceded her in death Thursday, May 25, 2017.
She is survived by one daughter: Cynthia Lynn Cope, of Mansfield, Tennessee; one son: Ray Charles (Kathleen) Cope, of Big Sandy, Tennessee; one sister: Nancy Eaton, of Salisbury, Maryland; one brother: David Welton, of Vero Beach, Florida; five grandchildren: Lonnie (Tiffany) Tucker, Ben Tucker, Lauren (Jason) Steeg, Steven (Morgan) Cope, and Mark Cope; four great- grandchildren: Knox Tucker, Alison Tucker, Cole Steeg, and Clint Steeg.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one brother: Vernon Welton.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tennessee. Visitation will be Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Johnny Farmer officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will follow in the Henry County Tabernacle Cemetery in Springville, Tennessee.
