MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin’s Honors Day event is set for 2 p.m., Sunday, April 16, in the Boling University Center’s Watkins Auditorium. Matt Marshall, president and CEO of United Way of West Tennessee, will deliver remarks during the event.
Marshall previously served as the executive director at Hands Up! Preschool in Jackson and spent eight years in high education as the director of the Center for Racial Reconciliation and director of Student Success at Union University. He is also a graduate of the WestStar Leadership Program class of 2022.
The Honors Day program gives recognition to students who have made outstanding achievements in scholarship and citizenship. Awards are also made to the outstanding faculty and advisors of the academic year.
This event is open to the public, and a reception will follow in the Nunnelly Family Welcome Center.
