Dover, Tenn.–A Clarksville man drove all the way to Stewart County to illegal dump a mattress and box springs and ended up in jail.
If you’re familiar with Stewart County Sheriff Gray and his deputies, you know they take littering and illegal dumping in the county seriously.
On Sunday April 2nd, deputies responded to a call on Lee Hollow at which someone had dumped a mattress and box springs on the side of the road. Alert residents in the area provided vehicle information to Deputies Matt Campbell and Josh Miller.
Deputy Campbell was able to track down the vehicle and driver. After taking out a warrant for the subject, deputies contacted Montgomery County deputies who were able to pickup the subject who lived in Montgomery County on Tuesday April 4th.
Arrested was Anthony Shawler, age 35, of Clarksville.
