Volunteers Pack 3,208 Pounds Of Food For Area Pantries

Camden, Tenn.–It was a perfect day to be in the freezer at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee . Six volunteers sorted and packed 3,208 pounds of frozen poultry, pork, beef, seafood, entrees, vegetables and desserts. This food will go out immediately to agencies of Second Harvest for distribution in West Tennessee communities. Protein is the # 1 request at food pantries and community distributions. Elyse Bell of Second Harvest said, “So grateful for retailers who donate this food which will feed 668 families of four.”
