Dresden, Tenn.–A lightning strike caused a structure fire in Dresden during Friday night’s storms. The Dresden Fire Department was called to the fire at the intersection of Gaylord and Darnell Lane around 9 p.m. A bystander told firefighters a lighting strike struck the garage in the rear of the property. Personnel responded with with two engines and 8 firefighters. Personnel were on scene for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. No injuries to the homeowners or fire personnel.
