HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn., — Search efforts continue for a missing boater on the Tennessee River as the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency continues its investigation.
The TWRA responded to a call about an unoccupied boat circling on the Tennessee River near mile marker 204 on Thursday, March 23, 2023, around 6:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, TWRA officers reported finding a 16-foot jon boat circling in the river without any occupants. A 56-year-old man was rescued from the bank. A 79-year-old man from Hardeman County is still missing. The incident occurred around mile marker 204 on the Tennessee River.
Authorities are monitoring the weather, and search efforts are continuing. TWRA is currently investigating the incident.
