This weekend’s Ohio Valley Conference baseball series featuring the University of Tennessee at Martin and Eastern Illinois will now be played at Skyhawk Field, officials from both schools announced today. Additionally, the two sides will play a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 25 before the series finale will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 26.

Unfavorable weather conditions in the Charleston, Ill. area necessitated the change in location. The projected forecast for the Martin area calls for thunderstorms on Friday, March 24 but partly cloudy skies and high temperatures up to the mid-60’s for both Saturday and Sunday contests.

Although this series will technically count as home games for UT Martin in the record book, Eastern Illinois will be the home team on the scoreboard and will bat last. The series serves as the OVC opener for both squads.
