Paris, Tenn.– The K9s of the Paris Police Department had a stellar showing at last week’s national competition at the Henry County Fairgrounds.

The competition was held at the end of the annual National Narcotic Detector Dog Association (NNDDA) certification training which is held in Paris each March.

Around 40 K9 teams from around the country attended the training and competed in the event.

Paris Police had both of its K9 teams place at the top of the competition.  Patrolman Jacob Parris and his partner Roki placed first overall in the competition and Sergeant Ashley Wood and her partner Ace placed second overall.  Assistant Police Chief Ean Reed said, “We are very proud of our officers and their partners for the hard work and dedication to their craft.”
