Cheryl D. Priest, 70, Paris, Tennessee, died Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Henry County Medical Center.
Her body is to be cremated and a celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
She was born Wednesday, April 30, 1952, in Decatur, Illinois, to the late Howard W. McDermith and Shirley Parks McDermith, of Paris, Tennessee, who survives.
Cheryl was a dog lover and advocate. She adopted several rescue dogs and loved them like her children. She was a member and attended the Christ Lutheran Church in Paris. Cheryl worked as a chef at many exclusive restaurants including the Sand Bar on Anna Maria Island as head chef.
She is survived by her son: Richard (Paula) McDermith, Monticello, Illinois; her grandchildren: James and Wesley McDermit; her sisters: Lori Taylor, of Paris, Tennessee, Christie (David) Paul, of St. Joe, Illinois, and Debbie (Jeff) Shonkwiler, of Bement, Illinois; her brothers: Ron (Carol) McDermith, of Paris, Tennessee, and Denny McDermith, of Como, Tennessee; and her best friend: Belinda Grimes, of Paris, Tennessee.
