
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) reports the final deer harvest numbers for the 2022-23 season are in and Henry County is in the Top 7.
The top seven counties by total harvest were Giles, Lawrence, Montgomery, Sumner, Maury, Franklin and Henry.
Totals are: Giles, 4,301; Lawrence, 3,923; Montgomery, 3,861; Sumner, 3,568; Maury, 3,550; Franklin, 3,318; and Henry, 3,215.
TWRA officials said, “It was a great year with a record-breaking harvest!”
The deer pictured in the graphic is the new state record archery harvest with a net score of 192 6/8. The gross number of inches was 197 5/8.
