Real Stories. Real Moms. Raising Families & Real Food.

Puryear, Tenn.– The Tennessee Beef Industry Council has launched a new video series featuring eight farm moms from across the state sharing their stories of raising families and real food. Traci Middleton of Puryear is showcased in this week’s video on The Tennessee Beef Industry Council’s social media Facebook and Instagram pages.

Traci and her family are Brangus and Ultrablack seed stock producers. They raise and sell bulls to commercial cattlemen and show heifers to youth exhibitors. They also market semen and embryos both domestically and internationally. As the starting point in the beef supply chain, their farm utilizes all resources and technologies available to help produce a premium beef product for consumers.

“A good rule of thumb as a farm mom is to carry a couple of snacks with you, because you never know if supper is going to be late” – Traci Middleton.

While each Farm Mom story is unique, the video series celebrates the unity within the industry, working together with the common goal of raising quality beef. The moms in each video share their roles of overseeing farming operations, managing families and showing love and compassion to neighbors and communities, all while raising a nutritious protein for all to enjoy.

“We want this project to connect farm moms with moms everywhere, helping them realize that we are all working toward the same goal—to raise good kids and be the best parents we can be,” said TBIC staff member, Janna Sullivan. “The focus of Farm Moms is on their responsibility to raise good quality beef for other families just like theirs.”
