Darrell Cook Hill, 89, of Paris, Tennessee, died Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Charter Senior Living of Paris.
Darrell was born Wednesday, July 5, 1933, in Paris, Tennessee, to the late Athel Bryant “A.B.” Cook and the late Lillie Mae Parker Cook.
She worked at Holly Carburetor until its closing then worked for Walmart in Paris as a cashier and greeter. Darrell enjoyed reading the Bible, Bill Graham books, and attending church. She was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church in Paris.
She was married Saturday, July 1, 1950, to Nathan Mitchell Hill, who preceded her in death Friday, May 8, 2020.
She is survived by her two daughters: Kathy Ann Coplen, of Clarksville, TN, and Pamela Kay (Mike) Wallace, of Paris; two sisters: Shirley Paschall, of Nashville, TN, and Zannie (Archie) Earhart, of Dover, TN; three grandchildren: Amanda Freeman (Tim) Mitchell, of Clarksville, TN, James Jason (Jo Anne) Freeman, of Clarksville, TN, and Trevor Wayne Wallace, of Paris; four great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one son-in-law: Gary Coplen; two sisters: Sylvester Bomar and Ruby Berry; and one brother: M.J. Maynard.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. –2:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Malcolm Norton officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Trevor Wallace, Mike Wallace, Tim Warren, Jason Freeman, Charles Shankle, and Tim Mitchell. Named as honorary pallbearers are all Charter Senior Living of Paris employees.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, TN.
