Paris, Tenn.–At this week’s county school board meeting, Henry County Schools Board members Russ Orr and Jim McCampbell got their first look at the Family Resource Center’s Literacy Van while Lakewood Elementary Principal Amber Ryan hopped on board to look at the large selection of books that children will have the opportunity to read and add to their own home library. The Family Resource Center will be taking the van around the county beginning April 20 at Trolinger’s BBQ parking lot, at which time free books will be distributed to children. Family Resource Director Becky Holland said the event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon and the public is invited. As we reported earlier, ESSER 2.0 (Elementary & Secondary School Emergency Relief) funds were used to purchase the van and supplies. (Henry County Schools photo).
