Paris, Tenn.–The city of Paris has announced the public input meeting on the issue of downtown crossings and safety has been set for 5 p.m. Monday, March 27 at the Krider Performing Arts Center at 650 Volunteer Dr.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss, inform, and update the public on two ongoing projects in Downtown Paris, TN: The 2020 Multimodal Access Grant for 4 Downtown Intersections and 2018 STBG Project for Signalization and Safety Upgrades at 3 Intersections Downtown.
There will be a representative from TDOT and TLM in attendance to provide updates and answer questions regarding these two projects.
At the regular city commission meeting last week, city officials outlined plans that are already underway to combat the ongoing problem and said a meeting would be set for public input. Several people have been hit by cars in the downtown area, including a Commercial Bank & Trust employee, Kathy Sadler, who died from her injuries in late February.
