MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Bass Cats were paid a special visit Monday. World renowned professional angler Sam Lashlee was on campus and met with the team.
Camden Native Sam Lashlee, a longtime friend of Bethel Coach Garry Mason, spoke with the squad about competition, his faith and being a great representative of the school and program. Lashlee shared life choices and fishing tales during his presentation.
Coach Mason said, “Sam has become one of the most well-known and recognized anglers in the country and to get to hear him speak was a true blessing to both me and our team. Sam’s talk about his life’s journeys and struggles were great to hear but most of all his love for our Savior Jesus Christ. No doubt that our team members will remember Sam’s visit for years to come. Thanks, Sam Lashlee, for taking the time to visit Bethel University.”
