Martin, Tenn.–Dr. Phillip Acree Cavalier was introduced this morning as Interim Chancellor at the University of Tennessee at Martin.
In an address to the campus community earlier today, Dr. Cavalier introduced himself and the goals for his tenure. “My door is always open when you want to talk. Let’s build on the work we’ve accomplished together over the past five years to make UTM an even greater university for the State of Tennessee.”
Dr. Cavalier has served as Provost and Chief Academic Officer at UT Martin, and we look forward to his continued leadership here on campus.
Dr. Cavalier replaces Dr. Keith Carver, who is leaving his post at UTM to take over as head of the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture.
