Paris, Tenn.–Rachel Steedly has been named Interim Director of the Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce.

Chamber President Justin Oliver said Steedly, who has been serving as the Project Coordinator, will serve as Interim Director for the foreseeable future.

“The board has agreed that this is the best step for us for now,” Oliver said. “This will provide stability for us going into the summer months” when the Tennessee River Jam and Water Fun Run are both coming up.

Board members agreed to put the Director’s search on hold for now, he said. “Rachel is certainly capable. She has been essentially acting as Interim Director for the past few months. Both she and Ivey (Dye) have been doing a great job” at the helm of the Chamber. Dye is Administrative Assistant.

“We’re grateful to both Rachel and Ivey,” Oliver said. “They’ve both been doing a great job for us.”

Steedly said, “I’m truly honored and humbled to accept this postion.  Paris and Henry County is such a special place and I want nothing but the best for our community.  I couldn’t do this without Ivey.  She plays a vital role and goes above and beyond everyday.  We are both dedicated to serving with professionalism, integrity and unity and look forward to the future of the Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce.”

After five years as Chamber CEO, Travis McLeese resigned in October of 2022, followed a few weeks later by former Community Relations Director Kasey Muench. McLeese is now at Total Tech Solutions and Muench is now the Executive Director of the Northwest Tennessee Tourism Board.

Rachel is married to Adam Steedly and they have three children.
