Paris, Tenn.–Paris was well represented at the National Silver Gloves tournament this week. The young men from the Paris Downtown Boxing Club advanced from state and regional tournaments to qualify for this national tournament.
Jett made the top 4 as the only 9 yr old that made it to nationals in his weight and age. Malik, Adrian, and K’nan were all hard fought runner ups (#2 in National Silver Gloves).
Fletcher is bringing home a belt as he was unopposed at the national level, but stopped his opponent at the regional fight.
Paris Downtown Boxing Club by far had the largest number of qualifying fighters from our state and region.
These young guys had to make it through state, and regional events to even qualify for the national event. This is the largest contingency from Paris Downtown Boxing yet.
