Mr. Jackie Earl Batton, 79, died at Baptist Memorial Hospital Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
He was born Monday, July 12, 1943, in Caruthersville, Missouri, to James Frederick and Helen Virginia Dial Batton. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Freddie Ghyers and Irene Daniels.
He was a member of McKenzie Church of Christ, an Army Veteran and a retired logger.
He is survived by his daughter: Jaclyn (Mike) Mayo, of McKenzie; a brother: Bruce (Anita) Batton, of McKenzie; two grandchildren: Dylan Hart and Audry Hart; a great-granddaughter: Adalyn French; and his ex-wife: Ruth Batton Morgan.
Funeral services for Mr. Batton are Friday, February 24, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at McKenzie Church of Christ.
The family will receive friends at the church Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Friday, 11:00 a.m. until service time.
Interment is at Mt Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie.
