Coleene Cox Dye, 89, of Paris, Tennessee, died Monday, February 20, 2023, in Henry County Medical Center.
She was born Saturday, February 3, 1934m in Tippah County, Mississippi, to Clarence Eppie Cox and Flora Mae Mauney Cox, who both preceded her in death.
She married Donald Ray Dye Friday, September 28, 1956. He preceded her in death Wednesday, March 11, 1998. She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Diana Dye and her sisters: Lonette Russell, Christine Chapman, and Flora Cox.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Jennifer (Vrian) Gowen, of Bluffton, South Carolina; her son Brad Dye, of Paris, Tennessee; her grandchildren: Jamie (Dru) Emerson, Ivey Dye, Julia Dye, Trevor Gowen, and Bradley Gowen; her great grandchildren: Ava Rae Hastings, Millie Grae Brigham, Grady Mack Brigham, Kennedy Reese Duffy, Myla J. McWherter, and Brooklynn Kaylee Gowen; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held graveside at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2023, with Patrick Chapman officiating.
Trevor Gowen, Bradley Gowen, Dru Emerson, Rick Lyell, John Penn Ridgeway, Rick Moody, Jeff Marshall, and Matt Guin will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will be held at the cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at McEvot Funeral Home Thursday, February 23, 2023, prior to leaving for the graveside service.
