The Henry County Sheriffs’ Office and Paris Police Dept will be opening county community Tornado Shelters at 8PM this evening and will remain open until severe weather moves through.
Opening at 8PM tonight will be:
- Inman Middle School- 400 Harrison St -Paris
- Henry Elem/Middle- 937 Pioneer Rd, Henry
- Harrellson Elem/Middle – 143 Puryear Country Club Rd, Puryear
- Lakewood Elem/Middle – 6745 US Hwy 79 N, Buchanan/Paris Landing/Springville
Law Enforcement will be present at all school locations to provide security.
Cottage Grove City Hall will have two Tornado Shelters available- 7030 Main St, Cottage Grove
Persons planning to use shelters should bring a charged cell phone. a folding chair and water. Continue to monitor weather conditions closely this evening and have access to weather warnings while you sleep.
