Paris, Tenn.–The Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction continues its steady pace to a record-breaking year and is now at $282,503 raised so far in 2023–and there is still two weeks to go.
A total $3,434 was raised Tuesday, with items donated by Sunnyside, Countrywood Estates, Scenic Hills/Castleton Cove, Food Bank, HCHS Fishing Team, TCAT and HCHS Soccer. Auctioneer was David Jackson with the Kiwanis Club manning the phones.
Items Wednesday will be donated by Country Club Estates/Nelson/Shady Grove; Paris Landing; HCHS cross country, Phases to Freedom and American Heritage Girls.
Looking ahead: Thursday items will be donated by the Elkhorn community and the Friends of the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge; Friday items will be from Easton’s Angels, A Place Called Home; Salvation Army, HCHS Baseball; REAL Hope. And Saturday will be another big day with the First Baptist Church donating items.
Helping Hand raises thousands of dollars each year for over 80 non-profit and public service groups. It started January 9 and runs through March 1. Helping Hand is known for unique and homemade items which often raise large sums.
