Michael Dale “Mike” Hudson

Michael Dale “Mike” Hudson, 72, of Paris, Tennessee, died Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

Mike was born Thursday, May 25, 1950, in Henry, Tennessee, to the late Robert Lee Hudson and the late Betty Jean Peebles Hudson.

He retired as the longtime owner & operator of Hudson’s Body Shop in Paris.

Mike loved race car driving and in his younger years, enjoyed singing in the band Headliner.

He was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church in Paris, where he enjoyed singing and being involved with the Living Nativity each Christmas season.

He was married Friday, June 11, 1971, to Patricia “Pat” Bowen Hudson, of Paris, who survives.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by his daughter: Brandi (Patrick) Lemons, of Dyersburg, Tennessee; his son: Dustin Hudson, of Paris; two brothers: John (Ann) Hudson, of Paris, and Jimmy (Barbara) Hudson, of Paris; two grandchildren: Elizabeth Jewell Lemons and Thomas Hudson Lemons; three nieces and nephews: Beverly (Tom) Baker, of Bartlett, Tennessee, Kimberly (Chris) Hutson, of Paris, and Christina (Joe) Brewer, of Paris; several grandnieces and grandnephews; and special bonus daughter: Leigha (Bryan) Reddick, of Paris.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tennessee.  Visitation will be Sunday, February 12, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Monday, February 13, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.  The funeral service will be Monday, February 13, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Emily Walker officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dustin Fletcher, Matthew Whitehead, Thomas Lemons, Patrick Lemons, Nathan Shoemaker, Jonathan Shoemaker, and Joshua Shoemaker.

Burial will be in Birds Creek Cemetery in Paris, Tennessee.

Memorials may be made to Rock Steady Boxing Paris, 235 Legends Drive, Springville, Tennessee, 38256, a non-profit organization giving people with Parkinson’s disease hope by improving their quality of life through a non-contact boxing-based fitness curriculum.
