
Gary Henry Martin, 77, of Paris, Tennessee, died Saturday, February 4, 2023, at his residence.
Gary was born Friday, March 30, 1945, in De Queen, Arkansas, to the late Henry Ervin Martin and the late Wanda Jacquilyn Johnson Martin. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one daughter: Chiquetta Lynette Smith; and one brother: Mike Martin.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran, retiring as a Senior Chief after 22 years of service.
He enjoyed POKER, hunting, and fishing.
Gary loved all motors, enjoyed speed and racing cars, and his Indian motorcycle prototype.
He raised Shih Tzus, owned a hunting lodge in Texas, and had many friends.
He married Virginia Larsgaard Martin, of Paris, who survives.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by three children: Victor (Angie) Martin, of Arkansas, Vickie Martin, of Arkansas, and Gary (Sherry) Martin, of Phoenix, Arizona; two stepchildren: Andrea (Robert) McGuire, of Cave Creek, Arizona, and Joseph (Zoa) Kumzak, of San Antonio, Texas; three brothers: Randall Martin, Rick Martin, and Lendal Martin; and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tennessee. Visitation will be Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Pastor Robert “Bob” McGuire officiating.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will be in Van Dyke Grove Cemetery in Paris, Tennessee.
