Helping Hand Radio Auction Now At $226,598

Paris, Tenn.–With the $6,806 raised at the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction Wednesday, the grand total now stands at $226,598 so far for the year.

Wednesday was another big day at the auction, with 22 slates of donated items and high and frequent bids throughout the day.

Donating items Wednesday were: Walmart, Covenant Ranch, New Wave Buddy Ball, Plus Endowment CHHAMPS, Tennessee Valley Board of Realtors. Auctioneer was Junior Staggs with the Paris Lions Club manning the phones.

On Thursday, items will be donated by Fairview Baptist Church, HCHS Speech Team, HCHS Swim Team, the Atkins-Porter Neighborhood Association and the Mansfield community.

Looking ahead to Friday, items will be donated by the Paris Soccer Club, Henry Co. Cemetery Committee, Henry County Archives, Henry County Genealogical Society and Henry County Chamber Music Society. On Saturday, items will be donated by First United Methodist Church at both afternoon and evening auctions.

Helping Hand raises thousands of dollars each year for over 80 non-profit and public service groups. It started January 9 and runs through March 1. Helping Hand is known for unique and homemade items which often raise large sums.
