Henry County Mayor John Penn Ridgeway has announced county general government offices will open two hrs late Tuesday morning at 10AM due to winter weather. This includes the Courthouse, Annex, Airport, Health Dept, Recycling Center, Central Building, Election Commission, Archives, and other general govt offices.
Henry County General Sessions Criminal Court will open two hrs late beginning at 11AM. Individuals appearing should watch morning announcements in the event this schedule changes.
Roadways are expected to become hazardous through out the night due to possibility of accumulating ice and sleet. No decision has been made in regard to opening on Wednesday. An announcement will be made at a later time.
The National Weather Service has issued a Ice Storm Warning for Henry County through noon on Thursday. The public is asked to stay home and off roadways if at all possible.
