
Murfreesboro, Tenn.–It was a VERY good day for the Henry County Fair Association Saturday as they brought back first place in several areas from the Tennessee Association of Fairs convention, including the West Tennessee Governors’ Award, Most Unique Crochet Item and Pick TN Display. They also placed in several other areas.
The ‘unique crochet item’ that won first place was the Henry County Fair’s Crochet Tree which earlier won Best of Show in the Festival of Trees in Paris in December. The tree was 100 percent homemade and crocheted by Tracy Loines and Elaine Walker and was transported to the Fairs Convention in Murfreesboro in the back of fair member’s pickup truck.
Other awards won were: Runner Up in the Double AA Division Merit Award out of approximately 23 fairs.

Fair officials said, “We are extremely proud of our fair and the hard work put into all of the participants and volunteers that helped us achieve so much during the 2022 Fair season.”
