Cottage Grove, Tenn.–The Cottage Grove Volunteer Fire Department gathered for its annual banquet and awards night Monday night. Chris Damesworth was presented with the Firefighter of the Year Award.
Other awards presented by Fire Chief John Weiher were: Duty Award – Tyler Miller and Lt. Michael Stewart; Training Award – Chris Damesworth and Captain Luke McDade; Responder of the Year – Tyler Miller and Lt. Michael Stewart; Station of the Year – Jones Mill Station.
