Smith Named New Stewart County Chamber Director

Dover, Tenn.–A life-long resident of Stewart County with experience with Chamber experience has been hired as the new Stewart County Chamber of Commerce Director.
Angie Smith was named unanimously by the board after interviews with seven candidates.
She is the former Assistant Director of the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce as well as serving as their Membership and Program Manager which included managing a 1300+ member Chamber budget. She has extensive experience in committee and volunteer management having completed two years at the American Chamber of Commerce Executives Institute of Organization Management at the University of Georgia. She comes with almost twenty-five years of financial background as a banker with Planters Bank and currently a mortgage loan officer and branch manager with Go Prime Mortgage.
An Austin Peay State University graduate, she is married to Andy Smith, and they have two teenage sons, Colin and Ethan.
Angie has served in a volunteer and leadership capacity in many organizations including the United Way of Clarksville, the Hope Pregnancy Center, and the American Cancer Society, Leadership Clarksville Association of Realtors, Future Business Leaders of America, Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, Tennessee Bankers Association, National Association of Mortgage Bankers, TN Promise Mentor, Partner in Education Coordinator, and The American Chamber of Commerce Executives.
Smith said, “I am honored and excited to serve Stewart County as the Chamber of Commerce Director. Stewart County is blessed with wonderful people and businesses, and I look forward to serving you in the days to come.”
