
Wanda Sue Charles, 79, of Buchanan, Tennessee, died Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at her residence.
Wanda was born Thursday, July 1, 1943, in Tullahoma, Tennessee, to the late Walter B. Taylor and the late Myrtle Rose Beech Taylor.
She was a homemaker who formerly attended Sulphur Well Church of Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, reading, and watching the TV show “Heartland.”
She was married to Leslie Edward Charles, who preceded her in death Sunday, March 5, 2006.
She is survived by one son: Edward Charles, of Buchanan, Tennessee; one sister: Peggy Louise Cadle, of Beckly, West Virginia; three grandchildren: Jessica Brown, Rebecca (Jesse) Melton, and Tiffany (Jason) Smith; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter: Theresa Cleaver; one son: Larry Brown; one sister: Shirley Ann Condor; and two brothers: Howard Donald Taylor and Walter Bobby Taylor.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, Tennessee, 38242. Visitation will be Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Chad Kennedy officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Smith, Randy Mobley, Jr., Kurt Oliver, Rudy Schrader, and Jesse Melton.
Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Springville, Tennessee.
