On behalf of Baptist Memorial Hospital – Union City, hospital officials have extended a sincere thank you to the Beulah Baptist Association for their participation in the Baptist Union City, 2023 New Year’s Blessing.
Beulah Baptist ministers, along with hospital leaders and chaplains, joined together to provide a devotion, testimonies, words of encouragement & prayers at the hospital. A special thank you to Beulah Baptist Minister, Rev. Jack Henry of Mt. Olive Baptist Church for providing an inspiring message of hope.
Also, hospital officials are truly grateful for the specific prayers offered by Rev. Russell Zik of Second Baptist Church (Prayer for Wisdom), Rev. Darrell Morgan of New Salem Baptist Church (Prayer for Compassion), Rev. Melvin Poe of Calvary Baptist Church (Prayer for Protection) & Rev. Marshall Key of the Beulah Baptist Association (Prayer for Advancing the Gospel).
Baptist Union City Chaplain, Michael Dennison, said: “Our BBA friends helped kick off our new year by encouraging all of us in our daily walk and faith in Jesus Christ. These devoted pastors not only prayed, but provided powerful testimonies and real-life examples to inspire our team members. What an absolute blessing! This is an event, we plan to build on each year.” In 2022, the BMH-UC hospital prayer cross received 1,222 prayer requests. BMH-Volunteer Chaplain, Rev. Curtis McLendon committed these requests to the Lord and dismissed the event singing, “This is the Day (And Year) that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it!”
This new year, BMH-UC team members are committed to upholding the Mission of Baptist Memorial Health Care, “In keeping with the three-fold ministry of Christ – Healing, Preaching and Teaching – Baptist is committed to providing quality health care.”
Hospital Administrator, Skipper Bondurant said: “We are extremely grateful for these pastors that came out today to share with our dedicated staff members prayers and blessings from God’s Word. These prayers will help us stay focused on the True North of our mission here at Baptist Union City and that True North is Jesus Christ and His example of serving others.”
