Camden, Tenn.–Camden Water District customers remain under a precautionary boil water advisory today. Camden Water Department Superintendent John Beasley said, “We are slowly raising tank levels and monitoring system pressure. Our water treatment plant continues to pump to meet high demands, and we suspect customer leaks are causing most of the increased demand.”
Crews are out checking water meters to identify customer leaks. “Please conserve water and check your property for leaks”, Beasley said.
The water department was handing out free water bottles to customers Tuesday.

The Big Sandy Water Works Department also has issued advisories this week, asking customers to check their water lines. Tank levels are falling to critical levels in Big Sandy, they said.
