Mr. Dion Rushing, 52, of Dover, Tennessee, passed away suddenly Sunday, December 25, 2022, at Tennova Medical Center in Clarksville, Tennessee.
He was born Friday, October 2, 1970 in Clarksville, Tennessee, the son of Marvin and Barbara McMillan Rushing. He is preceded in death by his father: Marvin Rushing and granddaughter: Brooklyn Lancaster.
Dion was a graduate of Stewart County High School. Dion enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He passion was mud racing with his family and friends. Dion never met a stranger and enjoyed passing the time talking and exchanging stories with his buddies.
Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving and caring wife, whom he married Tuesday, May 27, 1997: Amy Etherton Rushing; son: Austin Rushing, of Dover, Tennessee; Brittany Nichole Rushing (boyfriend; Tyler Stevens), of Clarksville, Tennessee; mother: Barbara Rushing, of Dover, Tennessee, sister: Dana Rushing (fiancé; Michael Rimmer), of Dover, Tennessee; nephew: Tyler Rye; and faithful pups: Bandit and Duke.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume Thursday, December 27, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. and continue until the hour of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Charlie Mathis officiating at Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, Tennessee. Burial will follow at Rushing Cemetery, Dover, Tennessee. Those serving as pallbearers are Stacy Grizzard, John Milliken, Chris Summers, John Wilkerson, Corey Etherton, Jacob Etherton, Tyler Rye and Tyler Stevens. Honorary pallbearers are Dwayne “Scrapper” Rushing, James Compton and Travis Compton.
