Camden, Tenn.–The City of Camden Water System has issued a precautionary boil water advisory due to low pressure conditions in the water system. Please check your properties and homes for leaks and call the City of Camden Water Department if you need assistance turning off your meter while you repair any leaks. Also, please stop running faucets as temperatures rise above freezing. These actions will help them return to normal operating water system pressures more quickly.
Meanwhile, the Camden Water Department also continues to experience low pressure conditions in the water system and our water tanks remain critically low due to significant demand from water customers that have experienced line breaks in their properties and from running excessive amounts of water from faucets in an effort to prevent leaks. As temperatures rise above freezing, it is imperative that customers stop running faucets in their homes and to thoroughly check all properties for leaks.
These actions must be taken in order to restore adequate water pressure in the distribution system and to remove the precautionary boil water advisory.
If you need assistance shutting off your meter, please call 731-584-4656.
